Spotlight on new ear, nose and throat services

In the past, HealthEast patients needing care from ear, nose and throat doctors were referred to specialists outside the system. While the quality of care was always up to HealthEast's high standards, there was always the concern about the possibility of lag time and miscommunication between primary care doctors and specialists. No longer. Starting in early June, two experienced Twin Cities ENT doctors will be available at the Midway and Maplewood clinics: Dr. Gregory L. Barth and Dr. Jon V. Thomas, both of ENT Specialty Care of Minnesota.

Dr. Barth is a general otolaryngologist with a special interest in head and neck oncology and disorders of the paranasal sinuses. Dr. Thomas has advanced training in voice disorders and phonosurgery and a special interest in head and neck surgery.

In addition to the advantages of having the doctors onsite at two popular, centrally-located clinics, the new service addition ensures seamless care for patients, with all information housed in one central system for instant access by specialists as well as primary care doctors for follow-up care.
