Join us at Woodwinds Health Campus for our fall community education series. These free seminars are made available by generous gifts made to the HealthEast Foundation by John G. Fee and others.
Monday, October 13 – What to Expect at the Emergency Care Center
Robert A. Sicoli, MD, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Lead Physician at Woodwinds
Amy Wynia, Child Life Specialist, Woodwinds Child Life
Why does it seem like you have to wait so long to get your turn? A pediatric emergency room physician will explain the flow of the Emergency Care Center as well as discuss the types of accidents and injuries that are common for children seen there. He will focus on knowing when to seek emergency care versus when to go to your family physician. A Woodwinds’ Child Life specialist will discuss ways to help with your child’s fear and anxiety while in the Emergency Care Center.
