Where Technology, Caring & Expertise Come Together for Cardiovascular Care

San Jacinto Methodist Hospital heart and vascular screening packages can help you understand your risk, which is the first step toward prevention.

The following exams may be covered by insurance, but not Medicare. In order to assure appropriate scheduling and verification, please obtain an order from your personal physician.

Heart Scan – $200 – Using a CT scanner, this tests for calcified plaque, or a calcium build-up of plaque on the walls of the arteries. It is used to detect coronary artery disease, and if present, can determine the severity.

Vascular Age Screening (CIMT) – $200 – Using ultrasound, the thickness of the carotid arteries is measured to produce a risk assessment that estimates the vascular age of your arteries. Blood vessels are also checked for blockages.
