- Physical therapy treats patients who have various orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Our physical therapy team includes licensed physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, licensed athletic trainers and skilled technicians.
- Occupational therapy focuses on the hands and upper extremities. Our therapists rehabilitate patients with hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder related injuries and conditions. We treat acute traumatic injuries such as crushed fingers, fractures, amputations and lacerations with nerve damage. Our therapists also see repetitive-type conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, De Querveins and tennis elbow.
- Aquatic therapy is an alternative form of rehabilitation that utilizes a low-impact environment for exercise. Patients are able to gain strength, flexibility, endurance and mobility in a comfortable and pain-free environment. The properties of water, including elevated therapeutic temperatures, hydrostatic pressure and buoyancy, allow for successful rehabilitation. The pool is equipped with a chair-lift for patients who require increased assistance for safe entry/exit. For the more advanced patient, the pool is equipped with a therapy jet, which offers a resisted current for those wishing to build strength and stamina.
"These types of outpatient services provide both immediate relief and long-term benefit to patients suffering from arthritis, back pain, problems of the foot, hand or wrist, sports injuries and all types of strains and sprains," says Sean Croft, therapy director. "Our goal is to restore functional mobility and improve patients' overall quality of life through specially designed and managed exercise and strengthening programs."
