Work for – and with – the Best
at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital

What better way to recognize a great workplace than to have it featured in FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For"? This year, the Methodist Hospital System achieved this distinction (ranked
No. 9) and was featured in the January 22, 2007, issue of
FORTUNE magazine.

Methodist was the only health care system in Texas to achieve this milestone. Last year Methodist was ranked No. 78 on the magazine's list.

Meeting Needs of the Community
When Methodist Sugar Land Hospital opened its doors in 1998, it was designed to meet the growing needs of the Fort Bend County community. With a unique mix of expertise, technology and specialized care, Methodist employees pride themselves on providing personalized, quality care.

In 2006, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital broke ground on its largest building expansion since opening. The new $177 million expansion, scheduled to open in the summer of 2008, will grow the hospital to 236 beds making Methodist Sugar Land the largest health care provider in Fort Bend County. The hospital now has 51 beds and 640 employees, which makes it the third largest employer in Sugar Land. Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO Chris Siebenaler said the hospital's expansion is keeping pace with Fort Bend County, one of the nation's fastest
growing communities.

The growth will enable Methodist Sugar Land to continue to build centers of excellence including Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Urology and Oncology. In addition, our plans include substantial growth in existing service areas such as women’s services, emergency medicine, critical care, surgery and imaging.

"We are very proud of the outstanding organization we have at Methodist Sugar Land," says Siebenaler. "Our people, culture and commitment to the values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence make Methodist Sugar Land a great place to work."

Just as our hospital offers great opportunities for your career, Sugar Land itself is a great place to live and raise a family. Most recently, our community was ranked No. 3 by CNN Money Magazine in its annual "100 Best Places to Live" survey. And BusinessWeek magazine rated Sugar Land as the 12th best suburb in the United States Housing is affordable and plentiful, and shopping, dining, recreation and other amenities are close by.

In short, Methodist Sugar Land offers you the best possible career and lifestyle combination — you'll be part of an outstanding, world-renowned medical institution, nestled in the heart of one of America's most livable cities.
