Methodist Willowbrook Earns An
"A" for Patient Safety

Methodist Willowbrook Hospital recently received the prestigious 2012 Press Ganey Top Improver Award by showing continuous improvement for patient satisfaction in the Emergency Department. The award recognizes the focus and commitment of hospital staff to provide outstanding care in a timely manner. Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is one of three hospitals nationwide to receive the award for patient satisfaction in the Emergency Department.

Methodist Willowbrook Hospital was awarded an "A" Hospital Safety ScoreSM by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The Hospital Safety Score was compiled under the guidance of the nation's leading experts on patient safety and is designed to give the public information they can use to protect themselves and their families.

"This 'A' score is a tremendous achievement for our hospital that reflects the commitment of our physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and support staff to quality care and patient safety," says Beryl Ramsey, chief executive officer at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and senior vice president of The Methodist Hospital System. "We will continue to provide this high level of care that has earned us the trust of our community."
