LAP-BAND® Seminars Join us for a free informational seminar on LAP-BAND, a weight-loss surgical procedure available at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Seminars are held monthly in the Cypress Room, first floor. Call to register: 281-477-2500		Prepared Childbirth/Refresher Provides the information you need regarding the birthing experience. Learn relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, pain management and your coach’s role in the labor process. Includes a tour of the Birthing Center. Call for dates and times: 281-477-2006
Breast-Feeding Class This class offers basic information on nursing your infant. Learn effective ways to successfully breast-feed. The program will include a variety of topics, including use of breast pumps, remedies to feeding problems and ensuring your infant is getting enough to eat. Call for dates and times: 281-477-2006		Infant Care This class covers baby basics and offers practical tips about being a parent. Includes hands-on practice in diapering, burping, bathing and feeding. Call for dates and times: 281-477-2006
Sibling Class Older brothers and sisters have a special role in the birth process. Visual aids, films, discussion and practice help to prepare the child for the addition of a new brother or sister to the family. A tour of the Birthing Center is included. Call for dates and times: 281-477-2006		Mom-to-Mom Connection Informal, free program for breast-feeding moms. Our lactation consultant will help problem-solve and offer tips on returning to work with continued breast-feeding. Babies are welcome. Diabetes Education This class gives an overview of symptoms, diagnosis types and management options. Travel Health Services Methodist Wellness Services offers travel health services for those individuals traveling to other countries, as well as for corporate clients. (WAM) WAM provides support and education for family members and caregivers providing care to a loved one facing a debilitating illness or disease. Meets the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.
