Prepared Childbirth / Refresher
Attend a class or – for flexibility and convenience – take a course using an interactive online educational program. Go to www.methodistwillowbrook.com and select "Birthing Center."
This class offers basic information on nursing your infant. Topics include use of breast pumps, remedies to feeding problems and ensuring your infant is getting enough to eat.
This class covers baby basics and offers practical tips about being a parent. Includes hands-on practice in diapering, burping, bathing and feeding.
Older brothers and sisters have a special role in the birth process. Visual aids, films, discussion and practice help to prepare the child for the addition of a new brother or sister to the family. A tour of the Birthing Center is included.
Informal, free program for breast-feeding moms. Our lactation consultant helps problem-solve and offers tips on returning to work with continued breast-feeding. Babies are welcome.
