to Advance Stroke Care

Stroke is the fourth most common cause of death and the leading cause of adult disability in the United States. The primary reason, and the one that can be changed, is the community's lack of knowledge about stroke and its symptoms.

The Khurana family

Swadesh Khurana's family has been committed to advancing stroke care and education in Northwest Houston as the result of her tragic and sudden passing from a stroke. The family knows that having expert stroke care close to home means lives can be saved. The purpose, initially, focused on preventing others in the community from facing the same fate. Through the family's generous philanthropic support, Swadesh's legacy lives on through increased stroke education and awareness and assisting Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in becoming a certified stroke center.

The Khurana family hopes to be an inspiration to others who need the emergent stroke care and resources in our community and to make a difference in the survivorship of stroke patients.
