North Vista Hospital (NVH) has been named an American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) Center of Excellence by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), an organization dedicated to pursuing surgical excellence in the delivery of bariatric surgical care.

Traci Dillman was not the typical gastric bypass patient who walked through the doors of North Vista Hospital last fall. She led an active lifestyle, only consumed small portions of food and had tried almost every diet and exercise program available. Yet, she weighed 287 pounds and feared her weight would jeopardize her long-term health.

James Atkinson, M.D., FACS - Born and raised in Las Vegas, Dr. Atkinson earned his bachelor’s degree from Portland State University in Portland, Ore.

Barry L. Fisher, M.D., FACS - A native of New York, Dr. Fisher received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1966.

Daniel Cottam, M.D. - Dr. Cottam grew up in Cypress, Texas, and received his medical degree from the University of Texas in 1997.
