American Sign Language Basic instruction for those who would like to learn sign language or need to learn it for their jobs, this class offers basic introduction. Instructor has a master's degree in deaf education. Appropriate for those 12 years of age and older. Six week series, Sundays, beginning Sept. 6, 1 to 3 p.m. Grady: $50 per person, $75 two in same family Diabetes Peer Support Group The Sunbury Diabetes Support Group, co-sponsored by Grady Memorial Hospital, meets at the Sunbury United Methodist Church. Anyone with diabetes and/or support persons is invited. Registration not required. Second Monday of the month, except July, August and December, 7:30 p.m. Grady: FREE Fibromyalgia Information Network Fibromyalgia is a chronic musculoskeletal condition that causes pain throughout the body. This program is designed to help those who suffer from fibromyalgia relieve and control their symptoms through exercise, relaxation training, physical therapy, massage and medication. Second Monday (no meeting in July), Aug. 10 or Sept. 14, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Grady: FREE Living Well with Diabetes Three-day series for people with diabetes and their families covers basic nutrition, glucose monitoring, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, meal planning and medications. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, July 13, 14, 15, 10 a.m. to noon or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sept. 15, 16, 17, 6 to 8 p.m. Grady: FREE Lymphedema Support Group This group provides support and education to those who have been diagnosed with lymphedema. First Tuesday of August; 7 to 8 p.m. WMC; (614) 533-3200; FREE Location varies throughout central Ohio Vascular Rehabilitation at Grant Health and Fitness Center A comprehensive program of exercise and risk reduction for patients with peripheral arterial disease. An interdisciplinary team of physicians, exercise physiologists, dietitians and nurses helps improve exercise tolerance, reduce symptoms, improve function, improve quality of life and optimize the cardiovascular risk profile.
