Fitness Jump Start

Gentle Pilates on the Mat

Gentle Yogas
Working specifically with students’ physical issues, this class is for those who have never attempted yoga before, feel stiff or have not exercised for a while. Smooth flowing meditation in movement with stretches, breathing techniques, tension reducing and deep relaxation for pregnancy and for all adults, including seniors, convalescents, and those with joint and weight issues.

Grant Health and Fitness Center
An integrated fitness and clinical facility open to the public. Our professional employees have one mission: to promote and provide health responsibility. Every member of the fitness staff has a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in exercise physiology and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine or the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Our clinical team is comprised of registered nurses, clinical exercise physiologists and a registered dietitian. Choose the level of service desired and assistance is provided in a friendly, personalized manner. A wide variety of cardiovascular and strength equipment is available, including elliptical cross trainers, treadmills, Bodymills, NuStep, Cybex circuit and free weights. We are downtown Columbus’ leading choice for preventive fitness, health enhancement and disease prevention. Group Aquatic Strength Training

Hatha Yoga
Through yoga postures, breath work and relaxation, you’ll experience a strong and healthy body, a peaceful mind and a joyful spirit. Mats are provided. Dress in layers and do not eat for two hours before class.

An eight-class cycling series to build strength, stamina, and endurance. Mcconnell Heart Health Center
A state-of-the-art medical wellness facility with membership programs and services for people who want to improve their health and quality of life, increase overall fitness and reduce their risk of chronic disease. Mommy and Baby Yoga

Personal Training at the Elizabeth Blackwell Center
Available for one-on-one sessions or for multiple persons. Training is available short-term or long-term and all training programs are created specifically for each person to give maximum potential for results. The trainer is also available for fitness assessments; this will tell you where you stand in physical health.

Pilates Mat Work
For those who are new to Pilates and those with some experience. Fundamentals and beginner/intermediate exercises will be introduced. Pilates on the Equipment – An Introduction
