Bright Futures Mobile Van Is in the Neighborhood
The new Bright Futures Mobile Van will continue the women's and children's services it has offered in the past, but now is also offering full primary care services to uninsured adults. Adults who lack health insurance
will now be able to get all of their health screenings or
sickness evaluations at the van. The visits are low-cost
based on the patient's income level. The new van also has a satellite providing remote Internet access to the staff working in the van. This allows them to check insurance eligibility while they're out serving the community and enroll residents in low-cost insurance programs. Along with a new van and expanded services, the Bright Futures Mobile Van has also added new days of service. The van will be available at the St. Mary Medical Center Healthy Beginnings Perinatal Clinics in Adelanto and at its new clinic in Hesperia. Be on the lookout for the new kid-friendly van with vibrant photos of local children decorating the exterior.
