25th Anniversary of St. Joseph Health System
The seeds of the St. Joseph Health System began
in 1920 when the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange
reopened the hospital in Eureka and named it
St. Joseph Hospital. Although their original calling
to the area was to provide a Catholic school, their
mindset to always fill the need at hand led them
to healthcare during the flu epidemic of 1918. |
