Coffee talk may do a heart good
If you've been meaning to get the girlfriends together for coffee, set the date. Researchers found that women who drank two or three cups of caffeinated coffee daily had a 25% lower risk of death from heart disease than nondrinkers.* Even women who drank decaffeinated coffee had a smaller rate of death from heart disease.
Another study of late suggests a daily cup of caffeinated coffee can help ward off Alzheimer's disease.** Caffeine blocks the negative effects of high cholesterol that scientists have linked to the progressive and fatal brain disease that affects as many as 5 million Americans.***
Along with the health benefits of stress reduction, spending time with friends at the coffee shop may be more than just coffee talk.
