Barbara had always enjoyed an active lifestyle – hiking, working full-time and spending time laughing with friends and family. But when she reached her 50s, her active lifestyle became more of a burden than a joy. Urinary incontinence – or loss of bladder control that can lead to leakage – forced her to give up hiking (not enough restrooms) and curtail time spent with friends (all of that laughing meant certain wetness).
