Dr. Magdalena Salcedo:
A TMG Physician Making a Difference This
Holiday Season
Dr. Magdalena Salcedo has been having a tremendous effect on children's lives across this continent for several years. She not only has been an excellent doctor for TMG Santa Ana, she has also been volunteering her time and medical services to charitable organizations and orphanages in America and Mexico. Her goal is to help as many children as possible.
Dr. Salcedo is a proud member of Operation Food, a charitable organization in Orange County. She has volunteered for this organization ever since its inception in 1998. Operation Food donates food, clothing and gifts to homeless children. These children normally live in hotels or temporary housing with their families and can only afford the bare minimum in life. Operation Food helps to bring a bit of joy to each family. Operation Food has Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter parties for these needy children. On these special holidays, Dr. Salcedo assists by giving out toys and food, and donating her medical services. She provides each child with a routine physical and evaluation. In some cases if there is need for medication, she purchases it and donates it to the children and their families. She also makes follow-up visits when necessary.
Dr. Salcedo also visits orphanages in Mexico. She goes a few times each year with members of her local church, bringing food and gifts to each orphan. Dr. Salcedo performs free medical checks on each child and just like for Operation Food, is willing to purchase and donate prescription medication if necessary.
Dr. Salcedo is a shining example of how Talbert physicians are reaching out to surrounding communities. TMG strives to improve the lives of all individuals. The goal of many of our doctors is to donate medical services to those in need. This holiday season, let us remember those who are less fortunate, and try to make a difference in our own communities as well.
